BEGINNER

For children less than 10 years old
2.7 For those young sailors under 120lb
3.2 For a child or light person 120lb -140lb
4.0 Most popular beginner sail for those with less than ten hours of experience

INTERMEDIATE

 

ADVANCE

For average weight windsurfers, moving up to intermediate
5.5 Same as above but for 180lb and up

6.5

The most popular sail size, for good intermediate (Advance) in the BVI. It all depends on your ability , weight and of course the winds. 

EXPERT

For sailors with advanced levels, I would recommend for a 170lb/190lb a Hifly Madd board with a 7.0 as generally, the wind here is considered light
